in my mind

A character in this reality, each of us is a character in each episode. Everyone else is watching in another reality. Who is to say what is known? What if all that is known is just perceived? Everything we know is almost everything that we have been told. If our ancestors figured their own truths, why are we not looking for our own?

What we want

Our brain tells us what we want. How reliable is our brain when it has not experience everything? How does one know what kind of life he or she wants unless they have experienced it all?

We do not know what we want thats why we often enjoy what is given to us. What we want changes with time or according to situations. For example, a lot of children do not like vegetables, but end enjoying it a lot more as adults.

  1. Starting as a child, our brain tells us what we want because of all the conditioning done by adults. Sometimes experiencing things can change what we want, but often times it is what is taught to us as youth that sticks with us. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

  2. Yes. Correct!! And realizing this is breaking away from bad habits. Not saying everything is to be experienced but life is experiencing and the less you experience, the less you live.

  3. That's why growing up is so amazing. Discovering life, our likes and dislikes. I believe that we all want the same; The ultimate happiness and that's what we are all searching for.
Some find it in their 20's some take a life time to search for it, and some never find it...
Experiencing is great but I personally believe that when you find something that makes you happy you should hold on to it if you can and build your world around it. This way you can still experience but if it fails at least you are not left with nothing ;-)
I also believe that people who had a happy childhood have a better idea of what they want. Simply because they know what happiness feels like. And it is easier to find something if we know what we are looking for then to just shoot into darkness...
I feel like that is why so many kids from broken families have a hard time succeeding in life and finding their happiness. They are often confuse and have no idea what they want from life.
So if you ever come across a person like that, you should share your happiness with them or at least your idea of happiness. It might not be what they are looking for but who knows, it might just be exactly what they need ...

  4. When you find things that make you happy and you hold on to it, sometime, is there no chance of not experiencing other things because you are holding on to something that made you happy once. Why can't we enjoy what made us happy once and go on to experience more that life has to offer? This way would we not have more experience in the things we like and dislike and could always come back.

Another thing is that, when you like something and you hold on to it, you may get yourself used to those things and many people like consistency; they don't like change. That limits one to a whole of possibilities that are out there
