If I wasn't alone
If music didn't play
If I did not sing
If beauty did not exist
If the waves did not crash
If the sand did not blow
If I could not stand
If you could not see my feet
If the rope did not hold
If I could always smile
If flowers did not smell
If I could not walk on this
IF the sun did not shine
If there were no water
If I could just be
If there were no view
If it did not feel like this
If you could just see me
If I could not be bare
If I could not sleep
The world, would it be still?
Billabong Lightwriting
you may not know this...[its a chance however slim]
ReplyDeletebut a billabong is an Australian creek...ill have to check the origin of the word
though wiki says its a lake...[or a section of still water adjacent to a river...is probably he best explanation...]
once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
under the shade of a Coolibah tree [banjo patterson]
Thank you. I did not think to look up the word. I saw a blog with the title in one of the post and as I was looking through the poem came to me and so I named it after the post.
ReplyDeleteI do like the quoted poem.
Many thanks Louisp2668
